Try not to be around other people that are doing it. It is to tempting if you are around it. If you do not do it for a while you will not know why you ever did. You have to stay committed to not smoking it.

I am looking for profession input on this subject. I am concerned about the "unintentional child abuse" by parents and other household smokers that effect the fetus and child during utero. We know children of smokers are basically damaged for life. Some people say "I'll stop smoking as soon as I know a baby is on the way". I think at least 3 months before pregnancy is recommended. some people say " I smoked" or "My parents smoked and I am just fine", but then have they considered how much healthier or better a child would have done in school and in the work place as an adult, if they had not been around smokers.
In todays world we need to give our children the best advantage possible.

My brother had an IQ of 140 at 18 and my mother smoked with both of us. We're both at university and getting straight As. I don't think it alters a child's intelligence. But if you want to be sure, I've heard 6 months before pregnancy is a good time to quit.
